Before my "Instructional Applications of the Internet" class in ITEC I had only heard some small mentions of using social media for classes.
That's not to say I had not used it at all. There were a couple classes that I chatted with my fellow classmates about a group project on FB, but that was not a requirement of the class, that was simply the best route for "meeting" with my group.
A friend of mine got to play on twitter for her English class but again, I had not heard much about it.
Previously, I had mentioned that Blogging had been discussed in passing in a previous learning class but it was only touched on.
I find that I am excited to use blogging and twitter for my classes as a new way to interact with the class. I feel far more comfortable in the blogging world filling out the details about my thoughts on a topic than I do in discussion boards.
I found this video when browsing educational blogging ideas. I may have to try them some day.
The video was posted to this site which has some other great tips.
